Three new Hulu films are coming in December, with over 90% of them on Rotten Tomatoes
The top streaming services typically slow down right before the holidays, but not Hulu: there are definitely a ton of new movies and TV shows being added this month, and you can see everything new on Hulu for December 2024 here.
Of course, one of the reasons there’s so much to stream this month is because Hulu is home to so many Hollywood movies. And that means you’re absolutely spoiled for choice, no matter what genres you prefer.
With so many new movies to choose from, it’s hard to pick favorites, but we’ll do just that: this month’s Hulu collection includes one of our favorite action movies, one of the best Christmas family movies, and a modern, transatlantic film. take on a Kurosawa classic.

Some movies never get old, and Speed is certainly one of them: it has a fantastic concept – Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are stuck on a bus, and when the speed drops below 50, it’s time to explode – tremendous pace and Dennis Hopper running through it like the crazy bomber landscape chews. You definitely need it Speed this month: if The Hollywood Reporter said at the time: “There should be traffic jams at the box office as Fox picks up busloads of passengers for its fast-paced and wildly entertaining thriller Speed.”

Forget the 1990s remake: the superior 1947 original of this Christmas classic is the one you’ll want to stream this season. It’s a brilliant alternative to the sugary sweetness of so many festive films.
The story of a man who stands in for a sloshed Santa Claus in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and then claims he’s the real Santa Claus is “light, charming, wonderfully funny, and utterly captivating. It’s all that and then some.” says the Daily news from New Yorkwhile TIME says it is “An accurate, lucidly cynical piece of whimsy”.
