Party time! NRL star Daly Cherry-Evans celebrates after his wedding in Manly – and plenty of famous footy faces were in attendance at Hotel Steyne

  • Galaxy of NRL players were in attendance on Friday
  • The celebrations then continued at the Hotel Steyne in Manly

There were football stars in all directions on Friday as Sea Eagles captain Daly Cherry-Evans married his long-term partner Vessa Rockliff.

Once the formalities were completed, a number of DCE teammates and friends went to work – in Manly on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, of course – at Hotel Steyne opposite the beach.

Those in attendance included 2011 premiership-winning teammate Kieran Foran and his wife Karina, Broncos recruit Ben Hunt, Jake and Tom Trbojevic with their respective fiancés, plus ex-Manly teammates Jamie Buhrer, Darcy Lussick and Justin Horo.

Daily Mail Australia understands KIIS FM radio star Cooper Johns was the MC, with former coach Des Hasler also flying in from the Gold Coast.

Melbourne Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster was another spotted letting his hair down, as was recently retired Manly center Brad Parker.

Cherry-Evans and his current wife Vessa have three children: Navi, Harvie and Tully. Rumors continue to swirl about the halfback’s future.

The 34-year-old is set to sign his final contract with the NRL club in 2025 but has proven to be one of the most durable players in the competition.

Whether he plays for Queensland in the 2025 State of Origin series is another matter.

The playmaker made his first division debut in 2011 and won a title the same season.

He has won multiple interstate series with the Maroons and also represented Australia in 21 Tests.

Although extremely consistent, Cherry-Evans has had many critics, including high-profile ex-teammates Anthony Watmough and Willie Mason.

In 2015, Cherry-Evans infamously returned on a multi-million dollar deal with the Gold Coast Titans.

Instead, he signed a ‘lifetime deal’ with the Sea Eagles, with the surprise decision leaving football fans divided.

After heavy criticism, Cherry-Evans apologized to the Titans and said he understood their fans had every right to be angry.

“This probably doesn’t look very honorable, the actions that I took, and I understand that,” he said at the time.

“But there is only one thing that could have changed the honor of my word and that is how important my family is to me.”
