Childcare manuals do not often describe the certain ways to ensure that small children become neurotic. But now we have actor Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria to show us how it was done.
The Baldwins, a so -called reality show that is launched today on the Discovery+ Channel, delivers textbook guidelines for raising a pack of undisciplined tear. The only thing to be said to defend the seven children, two to ten years old, is that their parents are even more terrible.
Earlier married to Kim Basinger, Alec announced that he used cocaine heavily in the early eighties. “I had a white-hot problem,” he said last year. “I think I sniffed a row of cocaine from here to Saturn.”
But he promises that he has been sober since 1985. I am glad he told us because I hated him only for his appearance: he has the cracked skin and glazed eyes of a bottle of whisky-per-day man.

His wife is 26 years old, although you could guess it was more. She dresses like a teenager in crop tops and denim shorts. With her rigid smile and loving looks at her husband, she has the atmosphere of a Kasmeghan Markle bargain.
Her big burden, she says, is that she is bilingual, but that people think online that she is putting on a Spanish accent. This makes her 'sad' and sometimes places her 'in dark places'.
The first episode of one hour is almost completely filled with images of their children who walk Riot. The camera repeatedly returns to their faces and ensures that viewers can identify each of them by name.

Every prospect of a private youth has disappeared forever. They are all public ownership now. That alone can guarantee problems in adolescence.
As if their children have needed therapy for years, Alec and Hilaria are discussing their personalities, making them a label each of them. One of them is a 'horse'. Another is 'a strange combination' of both parents.
And of course they get everything they want. “These children have nervous disruptions if they don't have the right backpack,” Alec explains proudly. However, that is not his responsibility, because he employs two nanny girls.
The Baldwin brood is not only spoiled, but also encouraged to flash, bicker, fight, mock and insult their parents.
Before a three -hour autorravel from New York to their holiday home in the Hamptons, hilaria pulls endless seating plans so that the children can argue about who is true. It is inevitable that those who do not get exactly what they demand were confiscated.

If this series is meant to make us feel sympathy, it has done the other way around. Last week Alec Baldwin was just an actor for me. Now I know exactly who he and his wife are. Some horrible people.
