James Hewitt said that his former lover -princess Diana would worry about the gap between her warring sons Princes William and Harry.
The former cavalry officer said that the deceased princess of Wales, who died in Paris in 1997, would have done her best to get them together. “
He was asked today at ITV's Good Morning Britain by host Richard Madeley or Diana Harry and William to make it right.
Mr Hewitt said, “I think every mother would worry and be worried about such a gap, as you said, and she would do her best to get them together.”
Diana confessed in 1995 in a BBC Panorama program that the couple had an affair. She and Prince Charles separated in 1992 and divorced four years later.
Mr. Hewitt was on the ITV show this morning to talk about his involvement in Operation Safedrop, which provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Asked whether the approach to mental health changed since Diana died, Mr. Hewitt said: 'I think we have been advanced and it is apparently possible to talk about that kind of problems now, in a way I think that is a good thing. '
He also spoke about the BBC's treatment of Diana for the Panorama interview, for which the company has apologized since then.
