The driver of a Ute who hit a house after flying through a safety barrier and reportedly refused to be tested by officers.
The car crashed through the roof of the house with one floor of Hindman Street in Port Macquarie, on the Mid North Coast of NSW, around 9.30 pm on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old driver was stuck in his Ute for 25 minutes before he was liberated by a team of paramedics, firefighters and SES employees.
The police will claim that the man refused a breath test on the spot, but was brought to the Port Macquarie Hospital for mandatory tests.
The man was released from the hospital awaiting further questions.
The crash caused 'extensive damage' to the house, with photos of the scene that showed the front half of the Ute in the house after they had deposited through the roof.
Hindman Street is located at the top of a hill and houses on the south side have vacs around street level.
A 62-year-old man who was in the house at that time was not injured.
The police investigation will be underway.
