iPhone SE 4 could feature the same main camera and selfie camera as iPhone 16
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone SE 4 in the first quarter of 2025. While there’s no official word yet from the Cupertino giant on the successor to the iPhone SE 2022, a new report from Korea confirms previous leaks regarding the camera unit. The iPhone SE 4, like the latest iPhone 16, would come with a 48 megapixel camera on the rear. Electronic components manufacturer LG Innotek will reportedly supply the camera modules for the iPhone SE 4’s front and rear cameras.
iPhone SE 4 Back, front camera Details tipped
Citing industry sources, ET News states that LG Innotek will provide front and rear camera modules for the iPhone SE 4. Apple will reportedly include a 48-megapixel rear sensor and a 12-megapixel selfie camera on the new SE model. The iPhone SE (2022) has a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 7 megapixel selfie camera.
The latest report matches previous rumors about the camera setup of the iPhone SE 4. It was said to have the same main and front camera as the iPhone 16. The upcoming affordable iPhone model may not have the ultra-wide rear sensor of the standard iPhone 16.
Furthermore, the report states that LG Innotek has started production of camera modules for the iPhone SE 4 at its factory in Vietnam. Since the phone is reportedly debuting in the $400 (approximately Rs. 35,000) price range, LG Innotek is expected to expand existing will use components instead of newly developed cameras. In addition to LG Innotek, Foxconn and Cowell Electronics are also said to supply cameras for the upcoming phone. The OLED panels can come from LG Display and BOE.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to go official in the first quarter of next year, probably in March. It is rumored to be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. It could have a 6.06-inch (1,170 x 2,532 pixels) LTPS OLED display with a peak brightness of 800 nits. The display could offer Face ID support. The device will probably have a battery capacity of 3,279 mAh.
