The Irish radio and television presenter Henry Kelly died at the age of 78, after 'a period of poor health', his family announced.
Kelly started his career as a hard news journalist with the Irish Times, which covered the problems in Noord -Ireland from the 1970s, but a decade later he decided to follow a completely different path in light entertainment.
He will be best remembered as a concept for presenting shows such as gold and game to laugh.
Kelly's family said he died 'peacefully' on Tuesday after a period of poor health. “
Their explanation said: “Henry will be very missed by his friends and family, including his partner Karolyn Shindler, their son Alexander, Henry's daughter Siobhan and her mother Marjorie.”
