Video shows the moment that a council has torn a homeless camp in Manchester City Center, where bailiffs throw tents in a bin truck in a day performance.
MThe Anchester city council has deported dozens of people – many who are refugees – from a camp outside the town hall.
Around 6.45 am those who are known in the group of tents were stationed as the 'Red Tent Camp' stationed outside the town hall in St. Peter's Square.
People were given plastic bags for their possessions while bailiffs knocked on 'tents and said they had to leave while it was raining in the city – before the sun was even finished.
Shocking video shows bailiffs who are dragged to bin trucks and possessions dragged on the floor. Activists showed up to protest and supports that were demonstrated.
This is far from the first time a council was filmed to turn 'tent cities' upside down after a judicial order.
Police and binmen in London were filmed in the winter of 2023 threw tents into garbage trucks in a movement that led to homeless charities.

The Council of Manchester received a possession order earlier this month and gave them permission to move those occupying the country.
A spokesperson said: 'People were given the choice to pack and bring their tents. The only tents that were thrown away were those who had been abandoned.
Temesgn Petros, 45, who is a refugee from Ethiopia, said: “They don't explain anything.
“They don't give us anything. How should we look at a good future?
“My life exists between the Ethiopian government and the British home office.”
Mary, 23, who witnessed the evictions, said Mancunian Affairs: 'The council has the duty to accommodate these people. Instead, they chose to come and expel people where they were forced to sleep in tents.
“This is not only a huge waste of tax money, but it is also completely inhuman.”
Some of those who were deported, have restored the camp outside the Midland Hotel, only meters from the original location-inclusive Modherman Mohammed, a 30-year-old man who came from Sudan and 46-year-old Eritrean Omar Osmanm.
“Where are people?” They asked. “They say work. How can I work if I don't have a house? '
'[The council] I just told you to rent private homes … they have to help you. They kick you from a football, we are just in the same circle. '

John Leech, the leader of the liberal Democratic opposition group, destroyed the movement.
He said: 'We are not dealing with the underlying problem we have in relation to people who live on the street.
“In this case with refugees, we only move them from one places to another and the fair wastage of resources.”
The Red Tent Camp started last spring, initially as a protest, but soon changed to a long -term place.
Although they were moved by the authorities for memorial Sunday and New Year's Eve fireworks celebrations, the camp has become a fixture on St Peter's Square.
Earlier this month, the Greater Manchester Law Center released a legal challenge in an attempt to stop the bid of the council to take possession of the country. However, the challenge failed, giving the council the power to effectively expel those who effectively expel camping.
The Law Center formally represented one asylum seeker, who had withdrawn the council's claim against him.
The case included dozens of more non -representative refugees, in which around 40 appeared in the civil court. During the procedure, a refugee told his right judge Nigel Bird that he “didn't think someone with a tent was happy or comfortable.”
But the judge ruled that the refugees – regarded as intruders in the law – should remove their tents.

“For many months there has been a fluctuating number of tents in this public space, occupied by people who are refugees who have had the right to stay in the country,” said a spokesperson for the City Council of Manchester, said
The Council said 'with many who are still refusing to leave, even though it was repeatedly asked to do this – and other options that are exhausted – securing this order was a necessary step'
'St Peter's Square is a public facility. It is central to the city and its provision in my opinion is available to everyone. I am comforted that each of the defendants, called or otherwise, within seven of the [housing] System and I am convinced that the system will continue. '
After the ruling, a spokesperson for the town hall said: 'We welcome the decision to give us a possession order to St. Peter's Square to end the camp there.
'For many months there has been a fluctuating number of tents in this public space, occupied by people who are refugees who have the right to stay the country.
'We want to emphasize in the strongest possible terms that there is help with the hand for every resident of Manchester who is confronted with homelessness. The homelessness service of the council works hard in addition to a fantastic network of voluntary and community sector organizations in the city to offer that support.
“In the case of refugees, we gave advice and support and helped many to help themselves out of homelessness in the past year.”
A spokesperson for the Manchester city council said: “The judicial order in the St Peter's Square camp instructed to leave the area was successfully implemented this morning.
'This brings an end to the camp that has been present there for several months, with fluctuating figures, occupied by people who are refugees who have had the right to stay in the country.

'We have carried out homelessness reviews for people who camp there and have offered temporary accommodation to everyone we owed a legal duty – everyone who was needed as vulnerable and in priority.
'Others on site who were not classified as vulnerable, still received advice and support, including a personal housing plan, to help them secure accommodation for themselves.
'People were given the choice to pack and take their tents with you. The only tents that were thrown away were those who had been abandoned.
In January 2024, the with a greeting apology completed a 70-year-old homeless man whose tent was picked up and slid into a BIN truck by municipal employees under orders from the London police.
Anthony Sinclair was one of those whose personal belongings, including a mattress and toiletries, were removed by the Veolia Council contractors from Veolia Council and were entered in a waste compactor on 10 November.
He was arrested by the police because he refused to leave the tent in which he had lived for a few months, because officers wanted to remove the homeless population around the University College London Hospital (UCLH) by means of a distribution warrant.
Images of the incident, which came for days after former Minister of the Interior Sugella Braverman homelessness described as a 'lifestyle choice', caused indignation – and led Mr Sinclair to threaten legal action against the metropolitan police.
The armed forces has since apologized into a letter sent to Mr Sinclair this week, with Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley who had acted 'illegally' the forces. It is said that it is preparing a compensation offer.
