Prince Harry has revealed that he is still 'very emotionally connected' with the United Kingdom in a new interview that also saw him flow over the Instagram -Skoutout by Vrouw Meghan Markle during the recently closed 2025 Invictus games.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, thought about the recently closed 2025 Invictus games, with the edition of this year of the sports tournament in Paralympic style in Vancouver and Whistler in Canada.
Harry founded the competitions for wounded and sick veterans in 2014 after completing two business trips in Afghanistan while serving the British army.
Since its foundation, the Invictus games have been held around the world, including London, Orlando, Sydney, The Hague and Düsseldorf – for the most recent edition in Canada.
In 2027 the event will return to the UK while Harry thinks about why the host city, Birmingham, remains incredibly important to him – even while he continues to build a new life with Meghan and their two children in the United States.
'Birmingham for us is a very, very emotionally connected place. Many of these guys, they woke up in Birmingham after they were blown up in Afghanistan, he told us every week, referring to the veterans for whom the Invictus games were created.
The city is the home of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital that is the first stop for British soldiers injured in conflicts abroad.

Elsewhere in the interview, Harry became the involvement of Meghan in the Invictus games and told the outlet that the Duchess, 43, recently after the Orlando games in 2016 is 'part of this community'.
“There have been so many special memories,” he added.
Meghan has accompanied Harry to the Invictus games in Düsseldorf, The Hague and Sydney over the years.
She also joined the Duke in Vancouver for the opening ceremony of this year's tournament – the first to contain winter sports – before she traveled with him to Whistler for three days.
It is said that Meghan briefly brought her journey briefly and returned to the £ 12 million at home of the couple in Montecito, California, to be three with their children, Archie, Vijf and Lilibet.
She continued to show her support to her husband on her newly launched Instagram account with several messages -including a snap that showed off a selection of gifts that she had returned from Canada for Archie and Lilibet in an Instagram post.
In a caption she wrote: 'A taste of Canada and the Invictus games for our little ones! Cheer yourself [Harry] From home! '
When he was asked about Meghan's sweet message, he said to the American outlet: “Yes, the shout-out of Instagram was very sweet and highly appreciated!”

The mother of two also flowed that she was 'so proud' on Harry after the Duke received a long-standing ovation during the emotionally charged final ceremony attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Duke was brought into tears when Trudeau spoke about the impact Harry had had on the lives of so military veterans and their families with his work and dedication.
Meghan documented the moment on her Instagram account, which she launched again at the beginning of 2025, with the caption: “So proud of you.”
Since the return to the platform on New Year's Day, Meghan has announced a brand new Netflix show – of which the success may 'make or break' the partnership of the couple of the couple with the American Streaming Giant – entitled 'With Love, Meghan'.
She has also unveiled the Rebrand of its luxury lifestyle company – previously called the American Riviera Orchard – as always.
