Rachel revealed that before she started getting ready, she put a pair of pantyhose in her freezer.
She left them there for an hour while she continued with her hair and makeup.
Once she was dressed, she grabbed the tights, which were still in their packaging.
“Mine literally sit there for an hour now, just like me, and get them ready, and then you put them on,” Rachel explained.
She advised her audience to make sure they didn’t have any torn nails before trying the hack.
The TikToker pointed out that the trick worked better than buying expensive opaque pantyhose.
According to Rachel, no one should have to pay for pantyhose.
Although her hack meant the tights wouldn’t last forever, she explained that it allowed them to be worn five to six times.
She pointed out that this was a better alternative than ripping almost immediately.
Rachel showed her followers the finished look, including her ladder-free tights.
TikTok users shared their thoughts on the advice in the comments section.
Christmas fashion tips from an expert
CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.
AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty, they have now become boring again and do not belong at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.
WEAR: Burgundy
At this time of year you can’t avoid burgundy and it is a luxurious, deep and rich color that is a welcome change from the Christmas red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.
AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather-trimmed combination sets has had its day and is so dated.
This year, don’t break out your hair-plucked pair and buy a new set, instead, still go for the satin two-piece, but stay away from the plumes.
WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins a bit by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a tight knit.
But if you really don’t know what to wear, reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.
AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive gig that looks like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and strict judges, but always opt for a classic tuxedo style or velvet instead.
WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, embellished jeans with diamond bling were having a moment, and this year they’re going to be just as big a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging everywhere, try metallic PU pants.
“I do this and it really works! I’ve been wearing pantyhose for five years [that] I did this,” one viewer wrote.
“Girl always gives us advice,” said another impressed follower.
“I love this tip,” said a third person.
“Put a pair of socks on your hands when you pull up the tights, no nails pinched and no tears!” advised another TikTok user.
“I love the nude fleece lined tights. They are so much more durable and keep me warm,” said one viewer.
