Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham has yielded the Europa League final in the record-breaking way while they crashed to an all-time 20th Premier League defeat of the season.

In the process they showed exactly why – whatever happens in that final against Manchester United in Bilbao on May 21 – they will certainly not be Postecoglou’s Tottenham next season.

This was a really pathetic version of Spurs – not so much a case of bad defending, but of huge institutional negligence, but also as a Palace Oproer, the score that never reflects their dominance.

And An early knee injury at Dejan Kulusevski – One of only three players who were retained from the semi -final victory at Bodo/Glimt from the semi -final – was also a reason for misery.

Palace had also excluded two first half goals and hit the bar twice as they surpassed their hosts, who are now only one place above the relegation before they fight – in terms of competition positions – is the worst Europa League Final of all time.

Spurs perhaps lifted their first trophy in 17 years in the Basque Country next week – after all, they have beat three times three times this season – but the breakfast of this dog of a competition campaign should definitely spell the end of their Australian manager.

With that cup final on the horizon, it threatened to be a case that players spent 90 minutes trying to prevent injuries.

Yet Palace was at full run in their last run-out for that of next weekend Wembley final.

After returning the semi-final to Northern Norway at 4.30 am on Friday, Postecoglou made eight changes to his starting line-up, but this was still a team of experienced pros and the display that they limit to shameful.

And within nine minutes, Palace thought they were in charge after a sweeping crossfield move – Eze to Jean -Philipe Mateta to a looting Daniel Munoz on the right.

When the full-back layer was centered to the rear stick, Ismaila Sarr shot to the rear pole for a tap-in.

Yet Mateta was marginal offside in the structure because his shoulder leaned over half the line – another triumph for Variety.

Soon Tottenham’s backup keeper Antonin Kinsky almost threw Munoz-Volley in his own network.

And then came the moment that Postecoglou feared even more than a palace goal, when the challenge of Marc Guehi Kulusevski sent into the air, the Swede hurt when he fell.

Kulusevski, who had briefly worn like a false nine, was replaced by Mikey Moore.

And then one of those famous passages came in a match in which Tottenham just stopped trying to defend.

Kinsky made a point -white save from Mateta, whose sloping pass quickly found Munoz for a shot that was drilled against the bar.

Spurs seemed to have decided that, under no circumstances, they would mark Munoz, who soon got a hectare space for a shot on goal, but instead a pass to Mateta wrong.

Shortly thereafter, from a corner, a header of Chris Richards was pushed against the bar by Kinsky.

The atmosphere was funeral and the defensive comical – but somehow the palace was not in the front.

Subsequently, Eze had bent a long-distance shot and from the resulting corner there was still a non-access-to-Maxence Lacroix’s header cannons in the vast arm of Guehi.

Then, after a long VAR check, an actual purpose.

Munoz, who felt that he was part of a one-man Covid-Lockdown, career on the judge in blissful isolation again and centered to Eze to tap home.

Yves Bissouma Arrived as a half-time sub and was booked within 90 seconds to kick Will Hughes In the head.

And then it was 2-0, Eze located Sarr who sprinted the right side and cut back a return ball for Eze – unmarked, as you may have already guessed – to drill past Kinsky.

Mateta then plowed forward and saved a shot and from a long throw -in, Kevin Danso almost went into his own net, Kinsky pushed wide.

Then Spurs in a shock turn scored to a rather repetitive plot almost – Pedro Porro’s cross to the back met by a flying header from Pape Matar Sarr, who fell wide.

Glasner made a triple replacement and showed grace to his hosts, who were a little relaxed while he kept dominating.

In general, Postecoglou was on the edge of his technical area, largely immobile. He will move soon enough.
