According to ESPN, tests revealed on Wednesday that the Penn State Star has a 'stress response' in his right foot.
He must now choose whether he should have surgery that would see a screw in his foot. Whether Carter could stop and try to prove his health to teams at the mowing porter. He is expected to decide this week.
Hours before the news broke out on Wednesday, the 21-year-old defending end made it clear that he thinks he should be the no. 1 general choice.
“I feel that I am the best player in the country and the best player must be chosen first,” said the 6ft 3in, 259 pound star.
“It's the work I did with my father, who trained me, and all the sacrifices I made, I know I'm the best.”

He ended last season with 68 tackles, a football bowl subdivision of 23 and a half tackles for loss and 12 bags.
He was the best defensive player of the Big Ten in 2024 and ended his three -year career with 39 and a half tackles for loss, 23 bags and 14 passes defended.
“There are mixed opinions about whether he needs surgery, and we will find out in the near future,” Carter's Agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN.
Carter, his family and his agents consulted with doctors on Wednesday. Rosenhaus is convinced that the injury has no influence on the future of Carter.
“Anyway, Worst Case Scnario, we don't expect this to influence where it has been set,” he said ESPN. “After a visit to teams this week, I believe he will be the no. 1 general choice.”
