Watch: Patna DM slaps BPSC aspirant during protest against normalization policy
NEW DELHI: District Magistrate Patna Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh was seen throwing a punch Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirant protests outside an exam center on Friday. The incident took place amid growing unrest over the BPSCs normalization policy and alleged irregularities in its examination system.
Chandrashekhar was seen hitting a student while trying to control the crowd.

The protests have gained momentum in recent weeks, with students demanding clarity on the normalization process and fairness in the 70th BPSC exam scheduled for December 13.
The controversy deepens after the recent arrest of student leader Dilip Kumar, who had led demonstrations against the BPSC’s decision to introduce multiple sets of question papers, which critics say could cause confusion among candidates.
Dilip Kumar, who was released on bail on Thursday, accused authorities of silencing dissent. “If the coaching, education and jobs mafia think they can silence my voice by putting me in jail, they are wrong,” he said, vowing to continue advocating for students’ rights.
The protests have received support from educationists such as Khan Sir and Guru Rehman, who have also criticized the BPSC’s policies.
