Man is stabbed and another suffers head injuries after wild brawl breaks out at Sydney pub

A man has been stabbed and another taken to hospital with head injuries after a wild brawl broke out at a Sydney pub.

Police were called to the hotel on Parramatta Road in Lewisham, in the west of the city, just after 3am on Saturday after reports of an attack.

Officers were told that three men had been attacked by a group of people who left the scene before police arrived.

The man who was stabbed was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

He is in a stable condition.

Two other men, both aged 35, were also taken to the same hospital after one was treated at the scene for head injuries.

Police have cordoned off a crime scene along the busy road and started an investigation into the incident.
