Eggheads star Chris Hughes died at the age of 77.
The news was confirmed via an official statement on the Eggheads Social Media Page, with the text: 'It is with enormous sadness that we announce the death of Eggheads Great Chris Hughes.
'Chris became at the show in 2003 and gave us not only brilliant answers in the coming 20 years, but also a lot of laughter and happy memories. He will be missed enormously by all his Eggheads family. '
