This is hardly the first injury due to the many physical dangers that surround NFL players.
Las Vegas Raiders Safety Johnathan Abram injured his shoulder and collarbone when he met a television cart during a 2020 match.
Earlier in 2015, the then Francisco 49ers who was returned to GRASE concrete in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis and a seasonal knee injury slipped back on Glad Bush in the Edward Jones. Bused sued the rams, who have since moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles and eventually won $ 12.45 million damage.
But the impact of Patrick's injury was perhaps much more disastrous, financially.
Although the other players had already made many millions in the NFL, Patrick was a unguomed free agent whose $ 825,000 salary was not even guaranteed. Including his last season, he only earned $ 1.2 million in his short career and he has not been signed since the injury.
