An urgent recall has been issued on a popular sinus drug for containing bacteria that could possibly kill.
The New York -based Ascent Consumer Products Inc. voluntarily calls on his Sinucleans Soft Tip Squeeze Bottle Nasal Wash system, which is sold nationally in stores, including Walgreens and CFS.
Lab tests confirmed that many of the popular medication contains the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria that can cause a series of health complications.
Usually these bacteria cause no problems or cause relatively small skin infections.
But Staph can lead to a more serious infection called MRSA, with the bacteria – which have become resistant to many antibiotics – entering your bloodstream, joints, bones, lungs or heart and even the brain.
Because of the way nasal sprays are used, there is a risk that the infection can spread to the brain.
People with the highest risk are the elderly, people with open wounds or weak immune system and very young children.

It is estimated that more than 2 million people in the US have an infection that is resistant to an antibiotic, which leads to more than 20,000 deaths.
Ascent Consumer Products Inc says that the use of its nasal spray can lead to blood infections.
It warns: 'Resulting secondary infections can occur, such as endocarditis (infection of the inner lining of the heart), bone and joint infections, spleen tabes or meningitis, and bacterial sinusitis that can lead to eye tissue infections, cranial nerve damage or opinion damage.
“These infections are serious and possibly life threatening.”
To date it has been reported that there is no causal causal at Ascent Consumer Products, Inc. with regard to the recall.
Sinucleanse Soft Tip Squeeze Bottle Nasal Wash system is used as a nose wash to temporarily relieve the symptoms associated with sinusitis, cold, flu or allergies.
It is packed in a box, with the squeeze bottle and 30 saline solution packages.
The compromised product contains the plot number 024122661A1 and the expiration date 12-31-2027.
It was distributed nationally in January 2025 via retail and online points of sale.
Ascent Consumer Products Inc. reports his distributors and customers via e -mail.
In the meantime, distributors and retailers in possession of the affected plot have been instructed to immediately stop distribution and remove it from the inventory.
Consumers who have this product must also immediately terminate the use and return it to the place of purchase or throw it away.
