Amber revealed her fashion fail in a video on her TikTok page, as she said: “I just realized today that I’ve been wearing these shoes wrong forever. I bought them from Zara for my graduation.

“And I was wearing them wrong and my sister was like, ‘You know, you’re not supposed to wear them that way at all!’”

Amber then showed off how she wore the shoes, with the strap across the middle of her foot.

Before I showed you how to wear them: with the strap at the back, over the heel.

When Amber tried it on the right way, she said in amazement, “Oh my God, and it actually stays on!

“This is amazing!

“Who would have thought? Not me!”

Amber admitted she was “stunned” after the discovery: “Wow, I’m embarrassed!

“I’ve been wearing them wrong all the time.

“Did anyone else know this or am I the only one?”

“I love these shoes by the way,” she wrote in the video caption.

But many people in the comments said they knew immediately how to wear the shoes, especially since they’re called “Slingback Shoes” on the website. Zara website.

“I don’t have that, I knew that,” laughed one.

“’Who would have thought!’ – literally everyone,” added another.

“I thought that made sense,” said a third.

Why is Zara so popular?

Zara was founded in Spain in 1975 and opened its first store in the UK in 1998. It remains one of the most popular stores on the high street, but why?

Instead of producing larger quantities of a particular item, Zara would focus on producing more items.

Some statistics suggest that Zara releases 24 trend-led collections each year, 500 designs per week and almost 20,000 per year. Other estimates put production levels at 450 million garments per year.

Even if a style sells out very quickly, there are new styles ready to take the space. This means more choices and a greater chance of doing well with consumers.

Zara only leaves the designs in the store for three to four weeks. This keeps the consumer visiting the store or website. If they are just a week too late, the clothes of a certain style or trend are sold out and replaced by a new trend.

At the same time, the continuous renewal of the lines and styles in the stores ensures that customers come to the stores more often.

“How come no one told you this before?” someone else asked.

“How could you not know that, haha?” wondered another.

Others, however, defended Amber. One wrote: “But that’s okay, because they look beautiful the way you wear them!”

“I wear it the first way, but after a few hours it hurts and I switch to the second version,” adds another.

“Both work!”

“Since I’ve never worn slingbacks before, I thought the first way was the right one too,” said a third.

“But now you have 2 pairs, sis!” said someone else.
