AcCHRNTON Stanley has confirmed that they are being confronted with a “grim” future in the midst of serious financial problems.
Stanley ended up the season 21st League Two – Only two places above relegation.
But although accrington in the EFLThey are still confronted with some serious economic problems that have forced them to close their academy last week.
The club also lost the live music license of the stadium – except on match days due to repeated sound complaints.
Now Warren Eastham, Chief Executive of Reds, has given a serious warning about the situation of the CUB and the Council accused nothing but to offer “empty words of support”.
This is after Stanley owner Andy Holt announced that he would resign last month.
Holt also accused the authority of a “Vendetta” due to a long -term row over the club’s hospitality suites in conflict with the building permit.
This situation places the iconic club, which was fame thanks to a Unforgettable milk advertisement in 1989In a situation where they are confronted with financial oblivion.
Eastham’s statement to the Local Democracy Reporting Service Read: “Since I came to the club last year in August, I have had conversations with the council in constant discussions.
“I made countless phone calls, attended meetings, sent e -mails and submitted countless support requests to both the council and their officers. But despite all this, nothing has been useful.
“Of course I would like to accept the meeting – one that I have both asked and attended earlier. I did my best to bring reason, but the only thing I received in exchange for this are empty words of support.
“What we need now is action, not common places. I have repeatedly warned about the risks of Andrew Holt that runs away, and now what we have – a letter.
“I got a year to make the club sustainable, but this cannot be achieved with temporary solutions. We need real, sustainable change. This is a club that lost £ 1 million in the 2023/24 season, a shortage that is fully treated by Andrew Holt.
“The 2024/25 season was only balanced thanks to the Liverpool FA Cup draw, but that money has now disappeared and the increasing costs of the summer continue to exist. The situation is grim: the march figures of the academy revealed a considerable financial loss.
‘Broken promises’
“April does not show any improvement, exacerbated by steep increases from the national insurance policies and the minimum wage in the club, including the players. At the moment, AcRENDON STANLEY has no income stream until July.
“The constant problems with planning, noise restriction and licenses have effectively closed us.
“Now, with the explanation of the council in the public domain, I really hope that this is the start of a meaningful collaboration to protect the future of this fantastic club.
“Let me be clear: the closure of the academy is only one thing thanks – a lack of income and the increasing financial losses. Andy’s position is clear: he will finance the club into a loss of £ 250,000 next season, but not further.
“After years of broken promises and a lack of appreciation for the £ 6 million that he has invested in this club in recent decade, he has reached his limit. This club belongs to the city and its fans. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the future is safe.
“AcCHRington needs AcCHRNTON Stanley, and I am determined by seeing this challenging time.”
