A championship football club has issued a warning to parents for a cheaper explorer who approaches parents at Grassroots football matches and invites boys and girls for tasting.
Portsmouth FC said that the male person, who is supposed to be in his 60s, is attending games with a staff -ID card and wears the complete kit of the team.
The club, established in Hampshire, said that they are not employed by the name of the scout and insisted on not sharing personal information.
They said they treat the case as a 'serious security incident' and claimed that the real scouts would 'never' taste 'tasting or guaranteeing young players.
In an e -mail that was sent to parents and local teams earlier this week, the club said: 'Good afternoon everyone.
'I would like to bring to the attention that we have recently been contacted by parents about a man who presents himself as a' Portsmouth FC Academy Scout 'and former' Portsmouth FC Academy Coach '.
“The man appears on basic games with” Portsmouth FC kit “and shows a” Portsmouth FC Staff ID card “when approaching parents and coaches.”
The team told parents the name that the individual proposed and described him in his 60s.

They continued: 'I would like to confirm that Portsmouth FC Academy does not employ a person with [that name] Neither have connections with the imitator.
'We deal with this as a serious security incident, but we provide this information as a warning to Grassroots clubs, because the imitator is planning to visit your clubs soon.
'Under no circumstances may people present themselves as Portsmouth FC employees when they are not.
Portsmouth FC Academy Scouts is expected to wear Portsmouth FC kit and present their PFC Scout ID card when attending games.
'Portsmouth FC Academy Scouts, however, are clearly instructed to never promise or guarantee tests to players.
“Coaches of Grassroots Clubs must always be first approached by Portsmouth FC Scouts if there is interest in a player, and permission must be given by the coaches/club if the scout wants to speak to the parent.”
The post, which is shared on various local Facebook groups, including the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League, called the three members of the Academy Recruitment Department that are responsible for process invitations.
The continued: 'If your club, or a parent at your club, a trial period is promised by someone who is not on the list … We strongly advise you not to have any further conversation or to share personal information with them.

“The safety of all young children is of the utmost importance for Portsmouth FC, which is why we have reported the incident to the FA, but I also encourage you to contact me (below) if you have doubts about a person who claims to be a Portsmouth FC Academy Scout or if your club can come across the imponator that we have described in this e -mail.”
A spokesperson for Portsmouth FC said: 'Portsmouth FC is concerned about recent reported incidents of an individual who presents himself as an academic explorer and says they represent the club.
“We have reported these incidents to the relevant authorities.
'The club performs the right background and describes checks for all staff members prior to their appointment.
