Now the League One Side has revealed projected images of what the upgraded Edgely Park could look like.

Stockport wants to increase the capacity of the soil from 10,852 to around 18,000.

The makeover will see a first 600 seats that have been added to the northern position, with the terrace -shaped railway end behind the goal to be increased from a capacity from 1366 to around 4500.

Work on the two stands could start this year, while the South Stand could later be developed to be 5,500 fans.

New hospitality, food and beverage facilities will also be built as part of the expansion.

Once that work is completed, the west side of the northern position can be expanded to fit in another 600 seats.

Planning for the new Edgely Park want to improve accessibility for disabled supporters and make the stadium more environmentally friendly.

Stockport is planning to produce a real ‘community stadium’ with “access to a wide range of spaces for the local community”.
