Wicked: For good trailer unveiled by Jon M. Chu with special screening while he begs viewers not to record

The first look at The Wicked: For Ever Trailer was unveiled during NBCUIVERSAL’s 2025 Presentation in advance in New York City On Monday.

Director Jon M. Chu was present to personally introduce the sneak Peek, who saw Ariana Grande And Cynthia Erivo Transform back into their respective roles from Glinda and Elphaba.

Prior to the trailer that was played, Jon explained that fans of the musical should sit a little longer before the official trailer is ready to be released.

He spoke to the crowd and said: ‘I am back in LA who completes the second film. I should be there now. We develop big plans for Wicked: For Good … ‘

Before the clip started, Jon begged the audience he could not record.

“Now we are still a bit removed from this publicly sharing, so I ask you as a personal favor and understanding the privileges to see this so early, so put your phones away,” he asked.

‘Please, I want this to be a surprise for everyone.

“If you even reach them, know that we have staged flying monkeys around the theater and they take the security very seriously.”

Speaking with DailyMail.com, an insider who attended the event, held in the Radio City Music Hall, revealed that the trailer with a campaign package contained a look at Glinda in her wedding dress while preparing herself on the aisle.

It is after she was involved in the first film after she was Fiyero (played by Jonathan Bailey).

The teaser started with Glinda looking for Elphaba in Emerald City.

“Elphaba, I know you’re here … just come out before the monkeys spot you,” she cried.

In response, Elphaba replied: “This is between us, the wizard and me.”

To heaven on her broomstick, the then explored: “Our wizard is lying.”

In another segment, Glinda and Elphaba shared a sweet moment when she thinks about their friendship.

“You are the only friend I’ve ever had,” Elphaba noted.

Jon also revealed that Ariana and Cynthia will perform live in a special one -off concert to join the release of the sequel

“And I had so many friends,” Glinda replied. “But you are the only one who mattered.”

Elsewhere, the public saw Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion skip the yellow bricks, although it is important to note that their faces were not visible because the camera had only shot from behind.

As many fans know, the role of Dorothy has not yet been announcedwho has fueled enormous speculation about who was cast as the iconic character.

During his presentation, Jon announced that there will be a special Live Concert in Los Angeles to join the release of the sequel.

He described the concert as the ‘center of our campaign’, while adding it ‘was never done in the 22-year history of Wicked’.

Ariana and Cynthia will perform live during the concert, together with their castats, which are filmed live in the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The special will be broadcast on NBC in November and streams the next day at Peacock.

Jon previously confirmed to Variety that fans can expect to see more from Dorothy in Wicked: part two, but remained tight about how much she will be in it.

“We will visit those characters again in film two,” he said, when he was asked about Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and the cowardly lion.

‘Dorothy is nearby in the show. They have to cross each other and you can only tease it so much.

‘I will not say whether she is necessarily a character in film two. There is a part of me that everyone is Dorothy the Dorothy they want. And yet there is interaction and some crossover. So I will leave that to part two. ‘
