Nothing teases new audio equipment made with KEF in 2025, and I am enthusiastic about this

Nothing has just announced that it cooperates with the British Hi-Fi Institution KEF for new audio products that “are the next step in expanding Nothing’s Audio Journey,” said Andrew Freshwater, head of Smart Products Marketing on nothing. The new products are “later this year”.
This kind of partnership between electronics manufacturers and HiFi companies has a long history and is strewn with many disappointments and successes.
I never knew for sure if we came from so much LG And Meridian Audio who works together, and Belkin’s collaboration with Devialet (demonstrably not really a HiFi company, but still) never produced anything that I liked. But TCLThe work with Onkyo on TV speakers was successful (and the company now works together with Bang & Olufsen), while the Tie-in between Philips TVs and Bowers & Wilkins yielded a number of amazing results.
((PanasonicThe long history of supplying sound coordinated by technology in its products does not count; It is cheating if you own the HiFi company in question.)
However, I am optimistic about this collaboration, because nothing has shown much more seriously about good audio quality in the past year, and Kef has a history of making headphones that sounds very good, but cannot compete with smart functions.
We were blown away by how good the sound in the Nothing ear (a) is for the price, and we still judge them as one of the Best Earplugs Around today, with a score of five stars.
And the slightly more expensive Nothing ears Are full of smart functions that work well and are a strong value. If nothing is considering going higher with new earbuds or perhaps competing with the Best over-ear headphones – KEF is a good partner to ensure that the sound is on the standard, while nothing offers the functions.
Not that KEF has a terrible record in smart functions – the wireless KEF LSX II LT Speakers received a cool five stars in our review.
Let’s get fantastic
I would also not be surprised if nothing in the world of the Best Bluetooth -speakersWhat could be a real hit if she preserved the cool transparent aesthetics of the company and Kef’s experience with speakers would clearly be a huge advantage.
Although this may be unlikely for a launch late in the year, because companies generally try to prepare Bluetooth speakers for spring/summer in the northern hemisphere.
However, my dream product from this collaboration would be an affordable wireless speaker design that includes KEF’s UNI-Q driver. This speaker design places a tweeter speaker directly in the middle of the larger Woofer Dynamic Driver, with the idea that this helps to perfectly align their sound for one uniform result with a large dynamic range. It also gives Kef’s speaker their great, simple looks.
I strongly suspect that KEF would like to keep UNI-Q for itself, or that it would be too expensive to implement-both.
My money is at KEF to design sound voices and design advice for nothing – but that may be enough to have a big impact. The nothing ear (a) has already been kicked Sony Out of his perch like the King of Value belongs for us.
Is there something for Sony’s more premium headphones, or the portable speakers from JBL? Or both nothing explains that there are “different acoustically co-developed products that are already underway”.
Maybe you like it too …
