- Windows 11 has a new preview -build in the beta -channel
- It comes with an AI agent in Settings to help you change options
- A new hardware-related frequently asked questions has also been introduced in the institutions
Windows 11 Has a new preview -extension and it comes with a big change: the introduction of AI into the settings -app to help Copilot+ PC owners find the options they need.
This is a new piece of work Microsoft announced last weekBut the company said it was to test quickly, at a certain moment this month. Well, that phase has now been established, and this possibility has debuted in Preview Build 26120.3964 In the Beta channel.
That preview release comes with the entire AI agent who is present in institutions, although this is of course only the initial phase of testing. Also note that this is only for Copilot+ PCs, it does not apply to normal Windows 11 PCs, because it uses the Peppy NPU That is on board Copilot+ devices. ((Microsoft also revealed fresh goodies incoming for non-Copilot+ machinesIt must also be noted).
As I have treated before, the AI agent works through the usual query model. You type in what you are looking for in settings via a beam at the top of the panel using normal conversation language. For example, you could ask something like: ‘How do I put the YouTube Playing video on my laptop on my TV screen? “And the AI will find that relevant setting for screen mirroring.
The idea is to make tweaking settings or find different options, and with some options AI will even recommend specific choices for you.
Another change to the Settings app in this Preview-Build is a new hardware-related FAQ that offers information about your PC specifications and how good they are. This nests in the System> About Panel in settings, under the list of device specifications.
The questions and answers specifically relate to your PC, so if you only have 8 GB RAM, and you are ensuring that this can delay the apps or moreover PC -Games – There will be a part about exactly what that memory tax means to you in terms of expected performance levels.
Analysis: pc -pec -cards and ai -nouve
This is the first time that we see these hardware -frequently asked questions appear in testing, although strangely enough does not work with the related ‘PC spec -cards(Small info panels) that wear the individual details of your CPU, GPU, System RAM and Storage (they have been Used to be spotted in testsMinus de Faq).
Probably these pieces of the puzzle will soon come together and deliver a useful extra for relative PC newcomers who may not be so sure of what all these specifications mean.
With regard to the AI agent, it looks handy and offers a lot of promise, but there are a few remarkable catches here. Firstly, AI can do things wrong when it comes to the specific recommendations for certain settings (but hopefully not in terms of the basic finding and the display of relevant options).
So in that respect we must be careful and it will be interesting to see how accurate Windows 11 -Testers find the system and what the first feedback is – because this could one of the best applications of AI Microsoft has found. Or the worst when it comes terribly off the rails, but Microsoft does not seem overly ambitious here – so that should not happen.
Secondly, only the English language is currently supported by the institution agent. Finally, only Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon processors for testing are supported, but Microsoft has said that the agent will come to Copilot+ devices with AMD And Intel CPUs fast enough. Maybe that is the next preview release.
