Lidia Thorpe has had a secret toy boy lover for the past three years.
The Firebrand Independent Senator, 51, has been quietly going out since 2022 with a man for seven years her junior.
It is understood that Senator Thorpe met 43-year-old James Nicholson at an Aboriginal Festival of Corroboree in Shepperton, in the north of Victoria, in 2022.
Nicholson, an electronics engineer, would be a proud Wurundjeri -man whose ancestors come from the Kulin Nation in Victoria.
But a source close to the couple said that Mr Nicholson never showed much interest in his native heritage until he met Senator Thorpe.
“He never really spoke about his Aboriginal heritage or preached about it, but that all changed when Lidia came by,” said the source.
'He started buying T-shirts with slogans such as' Land Back', 'Will Always Will Be' and 'Voice Treaty Truth' and attending protests and Marsen.
'When he started going with her, he drove around with a baseball bat in his boot because she is a hunted woman. Nazis are behind her. '

Senator Thorpe has a colorful dating history.
Before she met Mr Nicholson, she had had a long -term relationship with Gavan McFadzean, who manages the climate change program and Clean Energy at the Australian Conservation Foundation.
However, Mr. Mcfadzean was shocked to learn later in the national media that Senator Thorpe had held an affair with a rebel bikie boss.
Her short romance with Dean Martin, the ex-president of the Rebels Victoria Chapter, led a political fire storm at the beginning of 2021.
Former staff members in her office were concerned about the unknown relationship because she was in the joint committee for parliamentary law enforcement.
As a member of the committee, Senator Thorpe received confidential briefings on organized crime and motorcycle gangs.
There is no suggestion that Mr. Martin has a continuous association with Outlaw engine gangs.
After the story broke in October 2022, Senator Thorpe was stripped of the deputy leadership of the Greens in the Senate.
She was later released from misconduct by a parliamentary investigation.

The report, published in March 2023, found that Senator Thorpe did not announce sensitive information to Mr Martin, but it said that she should have explained the relationship to avoid observed conflicts of interest.
She told the Senate that she and Mr. Martin had kissed only once during a meeting '.
“I had no idea who this person was or his background,” she said.
“I had no relationship with that person. I received legal advice from the greens lawyer that I had to say that I had gone out with this person. '
Shortly thereafter she resigned from the party and has since been independent.
Her partner at the time, Mr. McFadzean, only heard of the betrayal through the media.
“If you discover it through National Media, your partner would have an affair,” he posted on Facebook next to a crying face Emoji.
Senator Thorpe became a single mother and suffering from domestic violence at the age of 17.
“There were relationships here and there, but they never lasted,” she told nine newspapers in 2022.
She had three children and several grandchildren.
