The prime minister would be ready to make the journey with the Ukrainian president and Emmanuel Macron while trying to keep Donald Trump on the side.
The leaders could present a potential blueprint for peace with Russia, including a first air and ceases -the Furthermen, the UK and French troops on site to guarantee safety and an American backstop.
Downing Street -sources emphasized that nothing had been completed, but Paris confirmed that the prospect is on the table.
Defense Secretary John Healey is later in the Washington for conversations with counterparts.
On PMQs this lunch, Sir Keir was asked by Kemi Badenoch what he did to rebuild the ties between the US and Ukraine. “She is absolutely right that we have to do everything we can to ensure that the US, Europe and Ukraine work together on permanent peace,” he said.
“I do everything to play my bit, in regular contact with all the most important players at the moment, including talking to President Zensky yesterday afternoon.”
The American president hit a slightly more positive tone in a speech of the congress at night after the Lord Zensky sent him a begging letter after the bust of their oval office.
Mr. Trump said he 'appreciated' the messageAdding that he wants to sign a deal for American companies to extract rare earth minerals from Ukraine. He also claimed that Vladimir Putin had sent 'strong signals' that he wants peace.
But Mr. Trump did not stop making fixed obligations, after he was dramatically announced that all military aid was suspended.
That led to panic in Europe in the midst of the fear that Kiev could not hold against Russia for long without American weapons.

Sir Keir started the session in the commons with a vehicle to vice president JD Vance, who made rejections about the security value of '20,000 troops from a random country that have not fought war in 30 or 40 years'.
The UK and France both said that they would be willing to put his troops on the spot to guarantee a peace agreement.
Mr. VANCE later emphasized that he had not mentioned the UK or France, and said that both nations 'bravely fought next to the US in the last 20 years and then'. However, he did not clarify which countries he meant.
The Prime Minister said today: “Tomorrow is 100 years old since six young British soldiers on patrol were in Afghanistan when their vehicle was hit by an explosive tragic killing them all.”
He added: 'These men fought and died for their country, our country. And about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, 642 individuals were fighting for Great Britain in addition to our allies, much more were injured.
“We will never forget their courage and their sacrifice, and I know that the whole house will match (with) in remembering them and all those who serve our country.”
Asked by MP about whether the US is a 'reliable ally', Sir Keir said 'We work very closely with the United States on defense, about safety and intelligence. We have done it for many, many years, we are intertwined, and of course they are a reliable ally. We work on the basis of day in, day out all over the world, as he knows. '
The prime minister added: 'Our most important focus, our only focus, is on a lasting peace in Ukraine. There are many moving parts, there are many discussions to have, but what I do is focusing on what I think is the most important result, which is a lasting peace in Ukraine that is good for Ukraine, for Europe, and of course essential for the United Kingdom. '
In a marathon 100 minutes speech Mr Trump Accused European countries of spending more money on Russian oil than helping Ukraine, and blamed predecessor Joe Biden for a list of problems that America and the world are confronted with.
Mr. Trump also recovered his plans to take over the Panama Canal and suggested that the US would be 'in one way or another'.
While Mr. Trump closed his whirlwind for the first six weeks in the White House, Democrats criticized him and accused him of 'lying'.
The relationship between the US and Ukraine looked at the edge of collapse after Mr Trump's angry meeting with Zensky last Friday, and the subsequent decision by the US President to pause military aid to Ukraine.
The dust-up also risked the killing of the deal that the US and Ukraine should sign on rare earth minerals.
In his speech to the congress, Mr Trump said that he was skeptical about America who sent 'billions of dollars' to Kyiv and asked if Democrats wanted the war to 'continue to continue'.
“Wouldn't that be nice?” Trump said sarcastically. “It's time to stop this madness. It's time to stop the murder. It is time to end this meaningless war. If you want to end wars, you have to talk to both parties. '

The journey from Mr Zelensky to the White House descended on Friday in a snake competition

Mr Zelensky has tried to cool tensions with Mr Trump and to get the alliance back on the right track
Trump said he had been in 'serious discussions with Russia' and had received 'strong signals that they are ready for peace'.
He continued: “I received an important letter from President Zensky van Ukraine.”
Trump then revealed that Zensky's letter said: 'Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as quickly as possible to bring sustainable peace closer. Nobody wants peace than the Ukrainians. Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time that is handy. '
Trump said, “I appreciate that he sent this letter, just got it a while ago.”
Mr. Trump became his fire on Europe and said, “Unfortunately, Europe has spent more money to buy Russian oil and gas than they have spent on the virgin of Ukraine.”
Sir Keir and Mr. Macron took the lead on peace negotiations after the spectacular oval office blowing of Mr. Trump and Mr. Zelensky.
