Spain is hammered by serious floods, where meteorologists warn that the worst yet to come.
The east, south and parts of the north of the country have received yellow and orange warnings in the coming days for heavy weather through the weather agency of the country, which warned that tourist hotspots, including Malaga, Murcia, Valencia and Alicante, will also be affected.
The newest bad weather comes after Canary Islands were hit with flashy floods and heavy snow in back-to-back episodes.
In Castellón, on mainland Spain, no less than 254 liters of rain fell on every square meter of some cities since Monday.
In Valencia, some cities received no less than 200 liters per square meter.
This intense rain has resulted in serious floods, with video images showing that entire roads are changed in rivers, while flash floods are flooding entire cities.
Loud thunder can be heard above the head, because dashcam images showed that cars were driving through the streets of Spanish cities loaded with water.
Separate images showed firefighters who wade water through knee -high water while trying to erase roads and save people who are stuck in their cars.
But meteorologists warn that the worst will come between Wednesday and Thursday, because the Dana, a Spanish acronym for isolated depression, lies in the east of the country.

The emergency coordination center of the Valencian government has since told citizens in Castellón, Valencia and Alicante to limit non-essential journeys.
It has also said that schools and outdoor activities suspend it until the end of the emergency re -returned event.
Heavy rain is expected in the Street of Gibraltar, the Costa del Sol, Murcia, Tarragona and the west of Almería, experts warn that these regions can be confronted with rain of a maximum of 60 liters per square meter for 12 hours.

To date, hundreds of families have lost their homes and have destroyed thousands of their vehicles.
