A young boy who was abducted seven years ago was found safely.
Abdul Aziz Khan, 14, was abducted in 2017 in Atlanta Georgia, where the authorities in Colorado now said they had found him safe at the end of last month.
Officers with the Douglas County Sheriff office were called to a house to investigate a reported burglary on February 23, they found two children in a car in the driveway.
Two people reportedly entered the house, with the homeowner called 911 after they had spotted them on surveillance cameras.
Delegates arrived and made contact with the two children and then observed a man and woman who left the address. They said they were associated with a broker.
Civil servants say that when their story began to unravel, with representatives spending four hours to verify their identity.
The Sheriff office said the couple later was identified as Rabia Khalid, 40, and Elliot Blake Bourgeois, 42.

They then identified one of the children in the vehicle as Khan, and that Khalid was his custody mother and was sought for kidnapping her son.
Khalid had an active order for her arrest, in which civil servants accuse her of crime kidnapping.
Both Khalid and Bourgeois were arrested and booked in the prison of Douglas County on accusation, including second degree kidnapping, falsification, identity theft, providing false information to the authorities and violation.
Civil servants said in a release that their bond each was set at $ 1,000,000.
Khan was taken into protective detention, with the identity of the younger child who was not released.
In a statement, his family said: 'We are overwhelmed by joy that Aziz was finally found.
'We want to thank everyone for their support in the past seven years. We specifically want to recognize the Sheriff's Office of Douglas County for their exceptional work when solving this case.
“Now, while we navigate through the next steps, we ask for privacy, so that we can move forward as a family and heal together.”

Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly said: 'Our representatives responded to what initially resembled a routine violation, but through sharp attention to detail and tenacity they discovered the truth.
“Their ability to recognize the discrepancies in the story of the suspects and to follow the leads, even when the situation seemed unclear, eventually led to the safe recovery of a child who had been missing for seven years.”
