The police will investigate the 'suspect' death of an eight -year -old boy in the northeast of NSW.
Officers were called to a house in Moore Creek, Tamworth, around 6.30 pm on Tuesday after the boy did not respond.
Family members carried out CPR on the eight -year -old until paramedics arrived.
He was rushed to the Tamworth Base Hospital, but could not be revived.
Oxley Police Department officers and detectives from the NSW's Homicide Squad have set up Sting Force Fitzgerald to investigate death.
The police handle the circumstances as suspicious.
Research continues.
Tamworth is a large city in the northeast of NSW with a population of more than 40,000.
