A man was held on Avalon Airport after trying on board a Sydney-bound Jetstar flight armed with a gun.
“The police were called to the airport around 2.50 pm after reporting that a man with a firearm was trying to board a commercial flight,” said Victoria's police.
“The man was held before he got on the plane and called the police.
'Officers were present and the man in custody. Fortunately, nobody was injured and the investigation into the incident is underway. '
Jetstar confirmed that an incident had taken place at Avalon Airport.
