Lioness Captain Leah Williamson paid tribute to a 10-year-old girl who was murdered when an electric BMW plowed in a sports field.
Poppy Atkinson was killed after he was struck by the car in Kendal Rugby Union Football Club, in Cumbria on Wednesday evening.
A second child, an eight -year -old girl from Kendal, was taken to the hospital for treatment, but her injuries are not life threatening, said Cumbria's police.
The little girl who was an aspiring footballer was described as a 'natural force' who was 'too good for this world', her deeply sad family said.
Leah Williamson, who plays for Women's Super League Club Arsenal and Captains The England Women's National Team, also participated in the tribute to Poppy.
