In conversation with her followers, Alessandra revealed that it is time to dump the ‘Millennial Gray’ interiors who had a chokehold about the generation for many years.

Connecting the aesthetics meant that you drench your house into every conceivable shade, which resulted in what the designer felt, fairly boring -looking monochromatic space.

Alessandra said: ‘It was gray everything, gray couch, gray curtains, gray walls, stainless steel accents, gray artwork.

“Everything was mirrored and a lot of gray textures on top of each other, faux fur, velvet, ground velvet, it was a lot.”

Millennials have claimed that the All Gray Interior Choice was a direct reaction to the decorative choices of Boomer -parents, who was louder and Mediterranean with warm gold, oranges and terracottas.

Matching furniture

Alessandra claimed that matching furniture sets are also outdated and that your house can make it look old -fashioned.

She added: ‘Number two is matching furniture sets, we wanted everything to be so coherent, everything had the same hardware and all the same wood.

“I get the profession that everything is built to be easy and to work together in harmony.”

The interior expert, however, said that not -ing furniture can also complement each other nicely without matching too much.

Some people in the reactions revealed that matching furniture used to be a sign of wealth and it meant that you could afford to buy the full matching set on the same day.

Live Laugh Love Signs

In the meantime, another interior faux pass is the ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ sign that became popular around 2010.

Alessandra said: “The Live Laugh Love is the equivalent of the nineties of Home Sweet Home from the 90s.”

Black hardware

Elsewhere she claimed that matte black hardware on kitchen cabinets and bathrooms is no longer in fashion.

She said: ‘This was really a big thing during that farm exchange, people came away from stainless steel, brass was just on the turnout, but hadn’t really come out yet.

‘Everyone turned into black hardware as a fast and easy way to update a kitchen or bathroom.

‘It is time for it, it is a cool trend, but it just will just be a trend.

‘Krikken are something that stays with you for 10 to 15 years, to bind you in such a sharp black, is not really a timeless decision.

‘I think the reality is that as soon as real estate developers start to put this black hardware in their kitchen and bathrooms, so you know that the trend is a steady decline and it is not easy to solve.

“With that long -term decision such as ticking and hardwear, it is always best to just go with a timeless decision.”

A big light

Finally, Alessandra claimed that the largest faux is only ‘using the big light’ in the middle of a room.

‘This is a hill on which I will die and one of my worst interior trends is having a fixation around one large light.

“For me, one of the worst spotlights in places that should be environmental lighting, such as living rooms and bedrooms, should be the only places in the spotlight in bathrooms and kitchens,” she added.

Many hurried to the comments with their own thoughts about the interior suggestions.

One person said: ‘Watch this from my’ gray ‘house with matchy matchy furniture’

A third said: ‘And this is why you should not decorate based on trends. Our house is colorful and playful with touching all these things, but nothing so hard that it can be considered ‘dated’.

To which she answered: ‘Preachhhh! The most important thing in your house is that it represents you and is a space where you want to spend time ‘

A fourth added: ‘Biggest regret of placing black hardware in the bathroom when we renovated 7 years ago. It must be gone. ‘
