The police have sued a 14-year-old on Wednesday in connection with the death of a 15-year-old boy in Glasgow.

Amen Teklay died on Wednesday evening around 10.30 pm of fatal injuries at Clarendon Street in the west of Glasgow.

Emergency services were present, but the schoolboy, from Knightswood, could not be saved.

Now, after a post-mortem in Amen's death, the police have accused a 14-year-old boy of murder.

He will appear on Monday at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Two teenagers, 14 and 15, were previously charged with death, the police announced yesterday.

Police Scotland, however, has not given an update

Emergency services were present, but the schoolboy, from Knightswood, could not be saved.

On Thursday, detectives said they worked with 'Education Partners' as part of the research, and on Friday it turned out that death was being treated as a murder probe.

Police Scotland has now said that two boys aged 14 and 15 have been arrested in connection with death and questions are underway.

It is understood that Amen, originally from Eritrea, lived with his father in Glasgow and recently received 'law' status' in the UK.

His sister Delina Teklay, 17, said that the Eritreane family was refugees and had hoped to get Amen to get the British citizenship and become a basketball player, a doctor or an engineer

She said: “This was very unexpected and shocking for us. I just think this is a dream and I wake up tomorrow. I am still in denial.

“My father is devastated; He does not eat at all or drinks something. We are all destroyed, it's shocking. '

She told BBC Scotland News that Amen “wasn't just my brother, he was my best friend” and a “really sweet person, so friendly and so smart.

Amen went to the St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Jordanhill. Claire Mcinally said that the boy's death was a 'shock for the school community'.

Mrs. Mcinally added: 'Amen was a friendly and beloved young man who was really interested in music and the media. He was smart and showed great promise. '

In a message on Facebook, Glasgow-based Charity Kingsway Community Connections said it was 'deeply sad to learn from the tragic death'.

It added: 'Amen, 15, was involved in our youth group and film group last year and still received support from our employees until yesterday afternoon.

“He was funny, clear and enjoyed playing football, he loved pizza evenings and participated in a summer BBQ. Our memories of Amen are encapsulated in this film that he made with his friends where he spoke about why attending the group was important to him.

“Amen developed great relationships with our team, and we are all destroyed with his sudden death.”

JATV Goals Youth Group, who offers film training for young people at boxing events, also paid tribute to the teenager who was part of the group.

There was a statement: “Our community is deeply sad if we come to the pure loss of a young boy who had his entire life for him.”

Those who knew the boy described him as a 'nice guy' while tribute flowed in for the teenager.
