Keir Starmer has insisted on restoring American help and sharing information with Ukraine in a call with Donald Trump.
The prime minister has expressed the hope that there will be a 'positive result' in conversations between Washington and Kyiv, which takes place in Saudi Arabia.
A downing street lecture said that Sir Keir stated that Ukraine was “dedicated to a lasting peace during the conversation.”
“The Prime Minister said that British officials had spoken with Ukraine officials this weekend and that they are committed to a permanent peace,” said a spokeswoman for NO10.
“The prime minister said he hoped that there would be a positive result for the conversations that could restart the sharing of our help and sharing information.”
Western allies have frantomed to repay the relationships after the failure between Mr Trump and Volodymyr Zenskyy.
The Ukrainian president will fly to Saudi Arabia today for conversations with the crown prince of the country, Mohammed bin Salman, and his team will remain for conversations with American officials.

Sir Keir will have new conversations with 'coalition of the willing' allies on Saturday while global leaders continue to climb to strengthen the defense of Ukraine.
The Prime Minister will organize a virtual meeting with around 20 largely European and Commonwealth countries to end up for another week of hectic diplomatic activities.
The call will be kept between countries that have shown interest in supporting a peace mission in Ukraine, if Russia agrees to stop his brutal invasion.
Sir Keir will be stimulated by reports that Spain is ready to contribute to the enforcement of a peace agreement in any capacity.
Earlier it was thought that Spain would probably not participate in a peace effort, but El Pais said that the Spanish government had decided that it “cannot stay on the sidelines.”
Sir Keir and French President Emmanuel Macron both said that they are willing to commit troops for a potential peace force on the spot in Ukraine.
But not all countries involved in the coalition interviews are expected to register for a military deployment.
Instead, they can offer logistical help for a peace force in Ukraine, or offer other forms of support.
The virtual meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing' will come after military leaders of potential members meet tomorrow in France.
This is the same day that the American and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Aarabia will meet for conversations about a possible peace agreement.
Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the leader of the British staff of Groot -Britain, will become a member of the counterparts in Paris on Tuesday.
Defense Secretary John Healey will then meet his opposing figures from France, Germany, Italy and Poland in the French capital on Wednesday.
The meeting of Ministers of the Defense will also be attended by representatives of NATO and the EU, with the Ukraine calling Umerov at Rustem.
Foreign Ministers of the G7 – including Foreign Minister David Lammy and the American counterpart Marco Rubio – will meet from Wednesday to Friday in Canada.
The official spokesperson for the prime minister said: 'There was the meeting last week, there will be another meeting tomorrow, there will be a meeting on Wednesday at Minister of Defense, there will be the leadership meeting on Saturday.
'Each of these meetings is clearly progressing with the planning.
“I am not going to be made public from proposals, but these discussions are clearly underway, as you can see from these meetings.”
Sir Keir has emphasized the need for US President Donald Trump to offer a 'backstop' security guarantee for a possible peace force in Ukraine by the European guided peace force.
