The youngest murderer of Australia ever killed a three -year -old girl could be back in the community within a few days.

SLD was 13 years old when he killed Toddler Courtney Morley-Clarke on the NSW Central Coast in January 2001, now has lifelong anonymity that prevents the public to connect him to his horrible crime.

After a prison sentence of 20 years, SLD was briefly released in Wollongong NSW in September 2023 before he was quickly returned to the detention for violating his conditions.

But with the current interim detention mix this Saturday, the bid of the 37-year-old on freedom will be heard in the NSW Supreme Court with a judgment that is expected on Wednesday.

Justice Mark Ierace noted that the situation was unusual.

“It goes without saying that this is a very challenging matter, he has only been to the community for four months since he was only 13 years old,” he said.

It is understood that Justice Ierace has the option to impose the continuous detention warrant, so that SLD would stay behind bars for 12 months or to grant an extensive supervisory order.

If SLD receives an extensive supervisory order, he can visit libraries and supermarkets three times a week in an attempt to make new friends and connections in the area.

The recommendations presented to the court of the NSW ministery of corrections have also ended a prison release at night.

The multidisciplinary team, which consists of officers, psychologists and police of Corrections Services, suggested that SLD would initially be accompanied by two ordinary dressed correction staff.

However, the court heard that the officers would probably only be available to guide the prisoner for a period of four weeks.

SLD would then quickly go through different phases from his way to freedom from joining to social clubs, do volunteer work at a charity and weekend, before he was finally left to his own reservations.

Community Corrections Intensive Rehabilitation Director, Sharryn Coe, the court said that the goal was that the violent perpetrator developed his social skills and dealt with the community.

However, SLD has previously admitted that he would be willing to kill again if something 'big' would take place and add 'if I kill someone, it will not be a child.'

His frightening confession and a series of violent violations, including the choking of a nurse during his imprisonment, are all considered by Justice Ierace who will determine when and how SLD runs free.

After SLD was last released in September 2023, he was behind bars after just a few weeks later after being caught on approaching women with young children on Bulli Beach in Wollongong, NSW who claimed that he wanted a date.

He also appeared to have online access to pornography and psychologists warned that he had been obsessed with losing his virginity after growing up in prison.

SLD was adopted at the age of four by a family in Point Clare on the central coast, but his murder process heard that he was 'disturbed' despite his new house.

At the age of 13 and 10 months he took Courtney from her bed in the middle of the night and stuck her through the heart before he left her body 300 meters in a long grass of her house.

He was caught after it was noted that he was missing in his house in the morning that the three -year -old disappeared.

He initially lied about the crime and led the police on a wild goose yacht before he later admitted that he killed her.

Psychiatric assessments of the teenager determined that he would never become a functioning social adult.

He was convicted in August 2002 to 20 years behind the bars, but was first released in September 2023.

Only weeks later he was arrested again for violating the conditions of his release when he spoke with three women with children.

On October 25, SLD went to Bulli Beach at Wollongong with a supervisor and was noticed by an off-duty prison officer who noticed his electronic monitoring class.

The officer witnessed SLD approached a woman with a young girl and then approached another mother who washing a baby on the beach showers.

Both women picked up their children and walked away from SLD.

Then he entered the Bulli Beach Café and started a conversation with a woman who fed a baby.

Allegedly he said to the woman: 'I just got out of prison. Do you often come here? ', Followed by:' I have only been here twice. '

The police arrived and arrested SLD, who told Wollongong the local court the next day that the meetings were “incidental.”

SLD was found guilty of one census of non -compliance with an extensive supervisory order, so he had no contact with children.

He also tried to get access to internet, dating sites and coded chat apps.

Authorities believe that SLD is a high risk of recidility because of his obsession with finding a friend to start a sexual relationship after he has been locked up behind bars for more than 20 years

During the hearing, psychiatrists noted that it is the murderer who is fixed to take revenge on observed errors, could act violently if he felt that he was being treated unfairly.

However, they also agree that holding him would be harmful to his mental health and the ability to assimilate in the community at a later date.
