Kim Kardashian Had ‘Too Much Cleavage’ at Wedding, But Other Details Were ‘Too Far’
KIM KARDASHIAN and her sister Khloe’s Indian wedding dresses took the fashion world by storm at what has been called the world’s most expensive wedding.
But an Indian fashion expert claims the sister’s expensive clothes expose style crimes that could be “condemned” by the country’s conservative elite.
Kim, 43, and Khloe, 40, attended the $1 million, four-day Ambani wedding in India, which started on Friday.
In addition to the A-list stars and celebrities, the KUWTK stars also brought along several Indian outfits especially for the spectacle.
Indian fashion expert Eshita Kabra-Davies, founder of By rotationsaid Kim and Khloe should have hidden their secret.
“I was very surprised to see Kim and Khloe Kardashian at an Indian wedding,” she told The US Sun.
“They looked great, but if there was one thing that was stylistically wrong, it was the neckline.
“Kim’s blouses were too small, while they fit well on other women.
“A cleavage is perceived as negative and overtly sexual at Indian weddings.
“Kim and Khloe could have hidden more.”
Kabra-Davies claimed the reality star’s combination of cleavage and jewelry was “too much.”
“Kim wore beautiful necklaces around her neck, but with her cleavage there were too many things to look at,” she said.
Kabra-Davies noted that her red dress showed “most of Kim’s breasts and some of her areola.”
And while that wasn’t a breach of protocol, it wouldn’t have earned her any rave reviews locally.
“Traditionally and in conservative circles, this kind of display and the amount of cleavage on display would only be frowned upon,” Kabra-Davies said.
“Most of the other Indian guests were not dressed like this.
“Kim’s look as a whole was too much.”
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding cost around $600 million and made international headlines.
The groom is the son of Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest man, while Radhika is an heiress to a pharmaceutical company.
Kim and Khloe flew to the Indian capital on Thursday to immerse themselves in Indian culture at the opulent Taj Mahal palace.
Photos on Instagram show the couple at an arrival ceremony, where they received bindis.
SPEND THE BIG MONEY
Kabra-Davies suggested that Kim and Khloe’s outfits were loaned out, but that they would come with a hefty price tag for anyone who wanted to buy them.
“These fashion items were loaned or gifted to the celebrities,” she said.
“For example, the lowest cost would be $2,000 for one Native American outfit.
“Kim and Khloes will easily cost you $20,000 per outfit.”
Kim’s first outfit was a red lehenga choli by Manish Malhotra, covered in sequins and tassels. It consisted of a skirt, a low-cut blouse and a wrap.
She shared a photo on Instagram She shows her wavy hair, covered with Indian jewelry.
Khloe wore a white and gold sleeved dress. Her necklace was from the same designer as Kim’s.
Both sisters wore a Maang Tikka on their foreheads.
Kim’s nose jewelry may have been a step too far, and we have smaller ones too.

Later, Kim wore a peachy gold and silver outfit by Tarun Tahiliani, while Khloe was dressed in pink.
Kim wore neutral makeup this time, but added a Nath nose ring (bridal ring) from jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
The significance of wearing a Nath is that it symbolizes being married and showing respect to the goddess.
NATH SMALL ENOUGH
According to Kabra-Davies, Kim’s Nath was the wrong size.
“This is traditionally a free bridal shower,” she explained.
“But fashion changes and designers want to sell as much as possible.
“A nose ring for the bride is fine, but this one was too big for Kim.
“When Kim and Nath introduced the nose piercing, there were too many other distractions.
“Kim’s nose jewelry might have been a step too far, and we have smaller ones too.
“But overall, the reality stars’ second outfits, with Khloé in pink, were again too over the top.”
On Monday, Kim shared a photo montage of a third outfit on social media.
“India has my heart,” she wrote in the post, which showed her dressed in red again.
The couple wouldn’t have minded if Kim wore red.

“Okay this doesn’t look Indian this looks like a costume,” said one follower.
“You’re not supposed to wear red to a wedding in India. That’s for the bride,” added another.
IN RED
According to Kabra-Davies, Kim likely had ‘permission’ to wear red.
“The couple wouldn’t have minded if Kim wore red,” she said.
“The bride and groom themselves did not wear red; it would only have been a problem if the bride had worn red.
“Kim got the most criticism about red, but she asked permission.”
The Kardashian sisters celebrated their wedding with the Chopra-Jonases, Boris Johnson, Adele and Drake.
Other celebrities at the event appeared to stick to the Indian wedding dresses.
John Cena arrived in a blue sherwani and pants. Joe Jonas opted for pink and his wife wore yellow.
HERE COMES THE BRIDE
Kabra-Davies said the bride looked conservative and claimed the stars did not overshadow her.
“Actress Natasha Pumbala did well wearing gold and light pink,” she said.
“She didn’t have to wear everything at once, was very respectful to the bride and didn’t try to outdo her.
“Kim and Khloe were invited to that wedding to draw attention to the wedding, and they did.
This wedding brought Indian fashion into the spotlight.

“The Ambanis wanted to make sure they would appear on all the news broadcasts and be the talk of the world for a few days.
“But when you looked at the bride, you saw that she was demure and not dressed in anything revealing or shocking.
“She wasn’t trying to be sexy or talk about it. She was acting like a family woman who was getting married.”
Interestingly enough, Kim spoke to Fashion in 2018 about her love for the country when the magazine put her on the cover.
“The saris, the jewelry, the clothes – everything was so beautiful!” she said,
“We need to figure out how to get to India,” Kim added at the time.
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
“Overall, this is a great moment for Indian fashion and haute couture,” added Kabra-Davies, founder of the world’s first social fashion rental app.
“It’s the recognition our designers deserve, because we have incredible craftsmanship, great creations and designs.
“Made in India is a term that brands don’t like to use, but so many things you buy from Western brands are made in India.
“This wedding brought Indian fashion into the spotlight.
“There are many healthy people in India and marketers should focus their efforts on that.
“Indian designers are now becoming more and more famous worldwide.
“Kim and Khloe’s outfits would have cost around $60,000 each, so it was important to get everything right.”
