A British woman who traveled to India to see a man she had met online was raped by him in a hotel in Delhi before he was molested by another man in the elevator of the building, according to the police.
The tourist, 36, stayed this week in the Mahipalpur area of the Indian capital after being friends with a man, only identified as Kailash, on Instagram.
The London -based woman had been on holiday to Maharashtra and Goa when she asked the man to join her, reports Indian Media.
The suspect said he couldn't travel, so she went to where he lived in Delhi to meet him and checked in a hotel on Tuesday.
He went to her visits there, but a heated argument was said to arise when the woman realized that the man was trying to act inappropriate against her.
The victim claimed that she was brutally attacked and raped by the accused.
She escaped the room to go to the reception of the hotel to get help, at which point another man, under the pretext to help her, reportedly molested her in the hotel lift.
Both men have been arrested for rape and molesting, according to the Indian police, who have started an investigation into the horrible events.

In a statement to The Independent, a police officer in South West Delhi clarified: 'This is not a gang of rape. These are two separate incidents of sexual abuse. The suspects are not related to each other. '
Local authorities have informed the British High Commission and, according to reports, helped the British subject. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been contacted for comment.
It comes less than a week after a 27-year-old Israeli tourist and her Indian homestay operator were gang tricking during a star tour in Karnataka.
The two women had visited the Sanapur, close to the UNESCO world heritage, with three male tourists when they were attacked by three attackers last Thursday.
The female tourists were raped while an Indian man in their group was killed in the horrible attack, with two other tourists, including an American man, escaped their lives.
