This wall climbing robot lizard is one of my favorite indoor toys

If your kids are driving you crazy at home, might I suggest you get them a lizard instead that can drive you crazy? Hex Bots Wall Crawler Gecko Just Released On Amazon and it’s a delightfully crazy, remote-controlled robot that runs on walls.

Toymaker Spin Master sent me one to test with my kids, and it won me over as a mom and as someone who enjoys making my coworkers squirm. With a simple remote control, you can watch it climb walls or do tricks. It works on smooth, flat surfaces, and the remote can be up to 25 feet away.

The robot lizard has a small vacuum on its belly to hold it to the wall, but it is so light that it leaves no trace as it flies around. It also didn’t knock any picture frames off my wall after multiple crashes. So don’t let the lizard worry you about your walls.

That said, it can cause fear in others, so while you laugh at their reactions, at least you know it’s okay.

It charges via a USB-C port, and the remote takes two AAA batteries. It retails for $30, and it goes on sale at Target later this month and Walmart in August.
