Xiaomi confirms it will launch the Watch S4 Sport in China on July 19

Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport has been made official by the Chinese company. The smartwatch will be launched at the annual conference hosted by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on July 19 at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST) in China. According to claims made by Xiaomi on social media, the Watch S4 Sport will be its “first professional sports smartwatch” with features like a rotating crown and sapphire crystal, and will debut alongside multiple other products across different categories.

Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport Specifications (Expected)

In a after On the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Xiaomi revealed information about the launch of its upcoming smartwatch. The Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport will feature a titanium chassis, with sapphire glass on the front and back. It will also have a rotating crown, placed on the right side.

A teaser shared by the Chinese company suggests that it could feature a round dial and a button below the rotating crown. The smartwatch appears to have two strap options: silicone and metal.

Although no official details have been released, Iis listed on the Chinese TAF certification website Reportedly suggested that the Xiaomi S4 Sport will feature an OLED display. It is said to feature a 586mAh battery with 10W charging support and a heart rate sensor. The smartwatch is also speculated to support e-SIM capabilities and allow users to make calls and respond to text messages without the need for a smartphone.

Other features of the smartwatch include GPS and NFC capabilities.

Other launches

Besides the smartwatch, Xiaomi has also confirmed the upcoming launch of several other products in China including the Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip, Redmi K70 Ultra, Buds 5 and Smart Band 9 during its annual conference in China.

Both the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, with Android 14-based HyperOS skin. The Mix Fold 4 will feature a Leica Summilux quad-camera setup, consisting of two telephoto dual macro cameras with a 5X periscope lens.
