A survey carried out in the constituency by Lord Ashcroftt has found the Nigel Farage outfit for delivery by 40 percent to 35 percent.
And the benefit grew to nine points when only those who are 'sure' to vote were admitted.
Although part of the fieldwork was performed before the harmful row broke out with Rupert Lowe, the indication will be a relief for Mr Farage.
The large MP of Yarmouth is now suspended from the party for alleged 'behavioral problems', which he furiously denies that he was driven out because he criticized Mr Farage.

Sitting Runcorn MP Mike Amesbury has announced that he will leave the commons at his earliest chance 'after beating a voter.
The date has yet to be determined, although it is generally expected to coincide with local elections at the beginning of May.
Amesbury pleaded in January guilty of attacking voter Paul Fellows, 45, after a row on the street in Frodsham, Cheshire, in the early hours of 26 October.
The ex-Labour politician was sentenced to 10 weeks, which after an appeal was reduced to a conditional punishment, which means that he runs the risk of being thrown out of parliament by the recall process.
He won his chair with a majority of 14,696 about reform last July. He has been independent since his arrest last year.
