I look around and on the terrace in front of me is the most exclusive table of all – the one where President Donald J Trump is crowned. Red ropes separate it from the rest of the dining area.
Trump enjoys his dinner surrounded by his inner circle of close confidants, including Elon Musk, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and the American Minister of Handel, billionaire businessman Howard Lutnick and his wife Allison.
I had just arrived with a group of friends for a Palm Beach Fashion Week event in the Balzaal Down.
On the table next to Trump's board is an iPad that he uses to control the Mar-A-Lago music: America's Potus and supreme commander is the DJ!
Everyone finds it hilarious, including him. He plays many classics and mainly loves Andrea Bocelli. One of his favorites is the glorious Aria Con Te Partiro (time to say goodbye) that he often plays when he leaves the restaurant.
There are also numerous pop classics, including YMCA from the village people who became 'his' song during the presidential campaign. It makes everyone going from his characteristic Trump 'Dad Dance'.

I think it is fair to say that this is currently the most exclusive club in the world. Everyone wants to be here. Membership is reportedly $ 1 million and there is a long waiting list.

Make no mistake, this is a consistent place. People call Mar-A-Lago the 'Southern White House' because the president is the most weekends here. It is the place where the deals are closed and it is no wonder that everyone makes a pilgrimage to be here.

If you are lucky, you can catch a glimpse of the beast, the bomb-free, bulletproof Tien-Ton Presidential Limo that is with gadgets in James Bond-Stijl, parked outside the entrance of Mar-A-Lago.
One of the most funny rumors here is that the door handles are rigged to send a 120-volt electric shock to ward off attackers. It is also said that the car can broadcast its own smoking screen and lay an oil slick to steer each vehicle that it gets too closely out of hand.
But even that cannot beat the sense of security in Mar-A-Lago, which, apart from an army of security staff, has great robot-like security dogs that roam on the site.
Mar-A-Lago is indeed intoxicating but the most surprising is how intimate it feels. It is where President Trump feels the most at home.
And that this remarkable country house is the beating heart of an administration that will fall in history.
