Vladimir Putin has agreed to a phone call with American President Donald Trump to discuss a 30-day ceasefires in the war with Ukraine after a meeting with the American envoy Steve Witkoff.
The Tyran Russian leader asked Witkoff to convey the thoughts from Moscow to Washington, said spokesperson for Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.
Putin asked Witkoff late Thursday to give extra messages to Trump, Peskov told reporters, after the Russian leader said during a press conference that he in principle supported a truce, but explains a large number of details that must be clarified before it corresponds.
A possible phone call between Putin and Trump to arrange excellent ceases -the fires can be arranged after Witkoff has delivered the messages in Washington, Peskov added.
“There is a concept on both sides that such a call is needed,” said Kremlin spokesperson.
“There are certainly a few grounds for careful optimism,” he added to the ceasefish -the proposal proposal. “A lot still needs to be done, but the president has shown solidarity with the position of President Trump.”

He noticed the need to develop a mechanism to control possible infringements of the truce. Another problem, he said, is whether Ukraine could use the ceasefires of 30 days to remain mobilization and reinforcement.
“We agree with the proposals to stop the fighting, but we will continue to assume that it must stop -the fires must lead to permanent peace and remove the root causes of the crisis,” Putin said.
The Russian president said that every cease-fire should lead to 'long-term peace'.
Now American officials have said that Washington will discuss the technical issues with regard to a possible ceasefires next week.
Given the range of problems on the table and the sharp differences between what Moscow and Kyiv want, it may take weeks or months for the weapons to stand still.
Ukraine, under severe military pressure on parts of the front line three years after the full invasion of Russia, has already approved the proposal.
The Russian army has been given a battlefield momentum and analysts say that the Russian leader will probably be reluctant to hurry up -fires while he thinks he has an advantage.
The Russian army, supported by North Korean troops, is now close to the complete driving of the Ukrainian troops of their foot in the Russian region of Kursk Border in what a big setback for Kiev would be.

Trump has threatened both Russia and Ukraine with punitive measures if they are not concerned with his peace efforts.
The American leader briefly cut critical military aid and sharing information in a clear attempt to push Kyiv to have conversations about the end of the war, but on March 3 the suspension increased after high American and Ukrainian officials reported that they made progress about how to stop during conversations in Saudi.
Trump said on Wednesday that “it is now up to Russia,” while his administration is getting Moscow to agree to the ceasefires -the fire.
The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zensky also had a tense meeting in the White House on 28 February in which Trump was wondering whether Ukraine wanted to stop the war.
Tempers flared up on all sides during the Oval Office Showdown. Trump threatened to completely leave Ukraine if Zensky did not agree with his peace conditions. He also accused Zensky not to be grateful.
Zelensky kept himself, even showing Trump photos that he brought from the destruction to his country and claimed that he had thanked the American people.
