The father of one of the girls who were killed in the Southport-Mes attack is the running of the London Marathon to raise money for a new playground at the school that the nine-year-old thought of as her 'second house'.
Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, was brutally stabbed to death together with Elsie Dot Stancombe, Zeven, and Bebe King, six, in a dance class with Taylor Swift theme in July last year.
Her father Sergio is now planning to finance a brand new playground by completing the London Marathon on 27 April in memory of his daughter.
This year's race is the biggest marathon ever, with more than 56,000 runners who complete the 26.2 miles circuit.
Sergio will be accompanied in the road race by Jinnie Payne, the main teacher at Churchtown Primary School that Alice visited.
Other parents and employees of the primary school of Churchtown will also participate to achieve the goal of £ 250,000.
The GoFundMe page, which is available here, has already collected more than £ 215,000 for the costs of building the playground.
Speaking on BBC breakfast, Sergio said: “The community was great, when we go out or go to the gym, they come to me and say,” Well done, you are doing great “.

He added: “When people talk to me about the playground, I feel that we are doing something great, thousands of children will enjoy this.”
Sergio also spoke about the pride that his daughter would feel about the new playground – and his grief that she would not play in it.
He said: “She would be very proud. I can't imagine how happy she would be to see the new playground, I wish she could enjoy it. '
The playground is intended as a 'joyful, healing space' for all students of the school and a memorial for Alice and colleague student Bebe, six, who also lost her life in the attack.
Fundraising, founded by Churchtown Primary School and David Clayton, the CEO of Endeavor Learning Trust, of which the school is a part, describes the space as'A place where they can do what children do best – play, explore and grow, and is designed to offer a variety of possibilities for more than 700 children, so that they can each thrive in their own unique way.
It continues: 'This new playground will be a special space to remember Alice and Bebe, which reflects their characters and the joy they brought to Churchtown Primary.

The proposed design also includes a sitting area with a tribute to murdered schoolgirls, who reads 'in memory of Alice and Bebe, Forever in Our Hearts'

'Please donate what you can do to help us create a playground that will bear their memories for years.
'We strive to pick up £ 250,000, but we don't want to stop there. Any additional collected funds are distributed among local charities that help those affected by this tragedy. '
The perpetrator of the attack, Axel Rudakubana, now 18, was sentenced to at least 52 years in prison for the horrific Southport attack in January this year.
He stabbed two adults and 11 children – with Elsie Dot, Bebe and Alice all fatal injuries.
When the police searched his house in banks, Lancashire, they found knives and poison, as well as images and documents with regard to violence, war and genocide on his devices.
Sources said the material showed an 'obsession with extreme violence', but there was no evidence that he had subscribed to a political or religious ideology or 'fighting for a cause'.
Among the items on two tablet computers of Rudakubana were documents including a concise history of Nazi Germany and the myth of the external controlled car bomb, the PA press office reported.
Rudakubana, whose parents moved from Rwanda to the United Kingdom, also had documents called Rwanda's Hutu Extremist Uprising – an eyewitness perspective and death and survival during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

Other files include a place under heaven – Amerindian torture and cultural violence; The Mau Mau war: British opposition in colonial Kenya; Clan cleaning in Somalia, the devastating legacy of 1991; and research of penalties treated on slave rebels in two 18th century British plantation societies.
A PDF file entitled Military Studies in the Jihad was also found against the tyrants, the Al Qaida Training Manual.
The discovery of the file led Rudakubana to be accused of possession of information that is likely to be useful for a person who commits himself or prepares for an act of terrorism that he later admitted.
Prior to what his trial would have been, Rudakubana unexpectedly admitted that he killed the three girls and tried to kill eight other children, who cannot be called for legal reasons, as well as class -instructor Leanne Lucas and businessman John Hayes.
He also argued guilty of possessing a knife on the date of the attack, the production of the toxin ricin on or before July 29 and the possession of information that is likely to be useful for a person who commits himself or prepares for a terrorist act.
