A minister of work was in the center of an explosive row last night that he rubbed intelligence at a high level and points to Covid's origin in a Chinese laboratory.
The post on Sunday can reveal that a former spy chef has submitted a secret file to NR.
But Lord Vallance, the Minister of Science, who was the most important scientific adviser of the government at the time, is accused of ignoring the report, possibly for fear of insulting the Chinese or to jeopardize research financing.
A classified file compiled by Sir Richard Dearlove, the former head of MI6, was passed on at the start of the outbreak in March 2020 to the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson in which it was stated: 'It is now without reasonable doubt that COVID-19 was being developed in the Wuhan Institute of Virology'.
The file, marked 'Secret – only the eyes of the recipient' argued that Beijing pushed a fake story that the virus had arisen on an animal market. The file compiled by a group of eminent academics and intelligence experts and seen by the mail on Sunday, said that China even afterwards viral samples manipulated to give faith to the deception.
But the argument would have been rejected by Patrick Vallance, who was a familiar face during the pandemic while he flanked Mr. Johnson at no. 10 news conferences.
In today's Mos, Sir Richard writes about his file: 'Boris himself was convinced by his argument. But the weight of the government's scientific establishment, already in the Chinese story, prevailed. '
Last night a source close to Mr. Johnson pointed his finger on Lord Vallance for rejecting the Lab-Lek theory to appease the Chinese government. The source said: 'Boris repeatedly asked the [intelligence] Agencies to do more work on the origin of Covid. It seemed like just a too much of a coincidence that a mutant Covid virus appeared in a city that happened to have one of the only laboratories in the world that developed Mutant Covid viruses.

“He was very affected by the refusal of the scientists, especially Patrick Vallance, even to consider this possibility. He asked again after getting the best briefing from the Larlove and again the agencies came back with the same answer and specifically furnished, Dearlove. Looking back, he now wonders why the scientists and the agencies were so emphatically. '
The source said that the former Prime Minister is worried that the public was deliberately misled by the scientific and intelligence community to protect research financing against Beijing and to make the Chinese regime angry.
Lord Vallance is confronted with increasing control of his role in suppressing the Lableket theory. He participated in a multinational teleconference in February 2020, after which it is claimed that scientists started to reject the Chinese lab lake hypothesis as an incredible.
Last week, former minister Steve Baker said that Lord Vallance should be 'completely transparent about what he knew and why he chose to be among those who avoided uncomfortable questions'.
De Source said: 'Boris thinks it is possible that the scientists did not like the lbar theory because they are wary about public hostility to science. They did not want any stories about Frankenstein viruses that would mean a threat to research financing. He also thinks they were nervous to offend their international partners.
“It was clear that the Lab leking theory was deeply embarrassing and painful for China. It meant that the incompetence of someone in Wuhan had caused millions and $ 16 trillion damage worldwide.
“But they really didn't want to say this. Beijing is ruthless to punish everyone who says something hostile or disrespectful to China. The scientists were clearly nervous about activating spending cuts on the enormous Chinese investments in all types of academic research. '
The post on Sunday last week revealed that a senior virologist had claimed that British and American intelligence services orchestrated a clandestine campaign to close the concern about a Lablak.

Robert Redfield, who was director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when the Pandemie erupted, said that he was '100 percent' convinced that COVID-19 was the result that scientists became infected while performing risky experiments to stimulate the potential of BAT viruses.
In April 2020, this newspaper revealed that the government's secret Cobra committee had been told that Covid had leaked from a laboratory, only that it was subsequently rejected as a 'conspiracy theory'.
Last week it was reported that in 2020 the German foreign intelligence service had the chance that the virus was accidentally released from the Wuhan Institute of Virology at 80 to 95 percent.
The Die Die Zeit and Sueddeutscher Zeitung newspapers said that a non -published report from the German espionage agency BND had indications that many violations of safety regulations had taken place in the lab.
The source close to Mr Johnson said he suspected that the scientists were also concerned about insulting Anthony Fauci, the director of the American National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022, who financed Bat Virus Research in Wuhan.
The source said: 'The truth is that the Covid-19 virus was not only Chinese but also partly American. It was a Chimerican Chimera. So Vallance and the others clung to the wet market/bat/pangolin theory long after it started ridiculously.
'They did this because they instinctive quays for China and sensitive to anti-science feeling in the wider audience.
'The agencies did not have really good sources for their work, except the scientists who were interested in this. That is absurd when you consider that we must understand the origin of Covid to prevent another outbreak. '
The source concluded that it was 'ridiculous' that the current British public investigation into the pandaemia did not study the origin.
Lord Vallance refused to comment last night and a government spokesperson said: “The UK continues to support the World Health Organization in its continuous expert study of the origin of COVID-19 and is looking for a robust, transparent and scientific assessment.”
