The coroner of Los Angeles County confirmed that he was 'found dead in a postal room on Friday', although details around his death remain scarce because there is an investigation, according to TMZ.
The mother of onewally spoke with the outlet on Saturday, and confirmed his death and asked for privacy while the family mourns.
She encouraged fans to visit his channel to honor his memory.
After the news, colleague Youtuber Coletheman tributed to onewally on social media and remembered him as a generous friend.
“My good friend @p2isthename died … wow. I am honestly not words. He was always so nice to me and gave me so much advice of content. May he rest in peace. This breaks my heart, “he tweeted.

OneWally was given a huge following through his NBA 2K and Fortnite gaming videos.
He later spread to wider gaming content, including Let's Play Walkthroughs.
The star also shared a glimpse of his life with his four million subscribers, including videos such as one where he brought fans through 'A Day in the Life of a A Young Black Millionaire' in Los Angeles.

While his recent uploads were on average between 20,000 and 60,000 views, he once attracted millions of viewers per video.
In recent months he was open about feeling 'lost' on YouTube, and shared his struggles with decreasing viewers and uncertainty about the future of his content.
Fans showed their love and support online, with one writing: 'This man was my childhood, I still can't believe that TS is real. May he rest in peace. '

Authorities have not released any further details about the circumstances of his death.
