The NSW police issued a statement on Monday morning and said that ‘a police operation at a school in the CBD of Sydney has now been completed.

‘Officers of Sydney City Police Area Command were present today around 9.45 am (Monday, May 19, 2025), after reports had threatened a man earlier and since then returned to campus.

‘The school was placed in locked and a search for the building, on the corner of the Streets Druitt and Kent, was performed with the help of specialized means.

‘Despite an extensive search for the site, the man could not be found and the Lockdown was lifted.

“An investigation is now underway for the incident and questions continue to find the man.”

St. Andrews School has issued a statement stating that the man who entered an external area of ​​the campus was ‘disoriented’ and left ‘a minute later’.

“The school can confirm that there was no threat of violence and nobody was damaged during the incident, and thank her staff and the NSW police for their professional and calm response.”
