A Colorado woman who was sentenced to life in prison for stabbing a man and smiling his house on fire and giggling during her two-week test.
Stacy Rodriguez, 23, seemed undisturbed – and even amused – while she was on trial for the death of Chris Dickerson, 35 in October 2021.
She and her girlfriend Hosanna Varela, at that time 19 and 23, went back to Dickerson's Greeley house after they met him in a bar during a night out.
Rodriquez attacked Savagely Dickerson during what had to be an 'informal meeting', according to a press release from the Weld County District Attorney's Office.
The convicted murder reportedly put him in the neck several times until he died before he set the house on fire. Both women were arrested in November 2021.
On Wednesday, the jury of Weld County Rodriquez was guilty of murder in the first degree, arson in the first degree, tampered with a deceased human body and two counts of second -degree burglary.
Varela argued guilty of arson in the first degree, messing with a deceased human body and accessory for a crime in January 2024. She has a 32 -year imprisonment.
Rodriquez 'will spend the rest of its natural life behind bars without the possibility of conditional release, the press release is.

“This whole process has been a joke for this suspect,” wrote Chief Advice Officer of Justice Michael Pirraglia in the release.
“She jokes. She laughs. The jury was shown her true character, which is nothing but devilish and despicable. She is a threat to society and there is no room in it. '
For example, images of the courtroom shows that Rodriquez grinned and chuckled while she waited for the jury to be deliberated.
As he testified in court, Rodriquez claimed that she was acting out of self -defense – said that Dickerson tried to stop them violently – and did not call the police out of fear.
She spoke timidly and only shared short answers while her lawyer encouraged her to speak to interrogation. She seemed confused and nervous when she described her side of the story.
“He pushed me on the couch,” started Rodriguez. 'He comes on top of me and he likes to hold my arms and he is still screaming.
“He got over me with one leg on the floor and then one leg was on me.”
She said in an attempt to get Dickerson from her, she grabbed a beer bottle, but couldn't hit him with it.

Rodriquez claimed that Dickerson took a 'Shiv' Varela. Allegedly he had mentioned this weapon earlier in the night, making Rodriguez threatened.
The victim's father All Dickerson spoke during the hearing and told the side of his son of the story.
“Chris did not deserve to die that day that he became friends with those two young women. Chris deserved so much more in his life, “he said.
“I hope this judgment brings some peace. I hope you get some closure in this trip after today, “said Pirraglia.
