Based on a popular horrorroman by F. Paul Wilson, the keep goes over a group of Nazi soldiers who occupy an old fort in Romania, where they wake an old evil.
It is not a great film, but it is very interesting for those who are interested in North Wales and Slate Mining. The main set of the film was built in a former slate quarry in Glyn Rhonwy near Llanberis, the home of the National Slate Museum. Some interiors were filmed in Llechwedd Slate Caverns, near the historic mining city of Blaenau Ffestiniog. It is definitely worth a visit. Tourists descend nearly 500 feet in the steepest mine cable railway in Europe and for the adventurous the area has fast zipper and an underground trampoline center.

Question: Had the word 'crazy' ever positive connotations?
Yes, very bad. The word crazy is remarkable because it now has a total opposite meaning for the original.
In old English was the word Sælig, which means happy and blissful. It was used to describe nuns and the Virgin Mary. By the 15th century, this meaning of Vroom now included any behavior that is considered virtuous, just or noble.
If someone's behavior was considered virtuous, it was harmless. If you were harmless, some people can consider you weak, so that Richard Morison writes hard about 'sylly – –edozende' in his translation of the introduction in Wysedome in 1539.
Towards the end of the 16th century, Silly got the abnormal meaning of Dom. In Shakespeare's a Midsummer Night's Dream, Hippolyta notes: “This is the craziest stuff I have ever heard.”

Further on the earlier answer, the oboe was used to the opening in the opening of Madonna's 1985 crazy for you. S Club 7's 2000 hit Natural starts with an eruption of Fauré's melancholy Pavane on oboe.
