The ship, which carries dozens of Tomahawk Cruise rockets, will be stationed in waters, usually patroled by the American Coast Guard. It will also work in international waters.
According to the US Northern Command General Gregory Guillot, it will seriously help to protect the territorial integrity, sovereignty and security of the United States.
The deployment will contribute to “a coordinated and robust response to the fight against maritime -related terrorism, weapon proliferation, transnational crime, piracy, environmental destruction and illegal sea -horny immigration,” added defense officers.
