The new 'toxicator' ride in Alton Towers was forced to close on the opening day after a burst pipe had crept 'brown liquid' near frustrated visitors.
Riders remained 'so disappointed' after they had been evacuated when brown liquid was quickly seen that sorted out of the drains at the entrance of the roller coaster on Saturday on Saturday.

Ben Kable, who stood in line for about 70 minutes, said: 'We thought the water was from the ride above while water dripped from the fountains during the ride.
“The steady current became more a puddle around our feet.”
He said that they were told to leave the ride 'without offering to come back with a quick pass, since we had waited 70 minutes.

Videos placed on social media showed the confusion of visitors when Brown Liquid quickly flowed out of the drains.
Tiktok -user RideComparisons said: “[We] have just been to the toxicator and the entire row has been evacuated. We didn't know why.
“One ride we could continue because the queue wasn't that bad.”
“These journeys always have teething problems, but I have never seen a top spider exploding the drains.”
He added: “It smells like S ***.”
A speaker that is attached to the ride can be heard: 'I want you to go to the nearest exit to venture elsewhere. Our apologies for the possible discomfort and thank you for your patience.
“Toxicator experiences a delay that unfortunately cannot be resolved in the near future and has stopped operating.”
An Alton Towers spokesperson said: 'Due to an unexpected Burst -Pijp at the ride, the toxicator briefly paved the operation while our teams quickly treat the problem. The ride and the surrounding area are now completely reopened and hospitable guests. '

The toxicator is the only top spin style ride in the park that is suspended above the ground, so that passers -by can walk under it and get close to the frightening experience.
